White Chocolate Caramel Fondue

My youngest daughter, Anna Marie (the one who has taken all the fabulous food pictures for the food blog) does not like chocolate.  You might say to yourself, “What? How does she not like chocolate?”  Well come to find out, when she was little, she snuck anything chocolate and ate it behind my back.  According to her, she overdosed on chocolate and doesn’t like it anymore. She does like white chocolate because apparently she didn’t eat that…So, I came up with this recipe after making a chocolate version.  The chocolate one is good, but I thought why not try something different and something that she would like. I know there are many people that like caramel and for all of my chocolate lovers, it’s a great flavor to try!

 Ingredients

3 White Chocolate Baking Bars, broken into pieces

1 (11 oz.) bag caramels – unwrapped

1 jar Marshmallow Fluff

¼ cup half and half

1 pinch of sea salt

A splash of Caramel Liqueur (optional)

½ bag Heath Bar Toffee Bits (optional)

Pound cake or angel food cake cut into bite size pieces

Strawberries, bananas, apples

Mini pretzel twists

Marshmallows

In a small slow cooker, combine the white chocolate bars, the caramels, marshmallow fluff, and half-and-half.  Cook on low until all the ingredients are melted together and the mixture is smooth; stirring occasionally. Serve with the pound cake, fruit, or pretzels. If you want the mixture crunchy then add your desired amount of toffee bits and serve with pound cake, fruit, or pretzels. You can also divide the mixture, have part of it smooth, and part of it crunchy.
